Our Trip To Maui!!

Jared and I spent a week in Maui for spring break. We left our kids home with my sister Kristin and her husband. They flew in from Utah. She did an awesome job with the kids. Allie probably missed us the most. She was wondering when we were coming home the first day we got there.

We visited Lahaina a few times. We ate at a restaurant called Kimo's.

We got to watch the sun set as we ate.

And then we shared a mud pie!

We took some pictures at Banyan park.

We ate at Lahaina grill one night and then went to a magic show.

We stayed at a resort called the Westin.

We went to sacrament meeting in Lahina.

We earned a free 5 course meal at a restaurant called Tropicana by listening to a time share presentation. We ate on the beach and watched the sun set!

ROAD to HANA

We took a full day and drove to the other side of the island where the rain forest is. They call it the road to Hana. We saw lots of cool trees and waterfalls.

Jared swam beneath the waterfall. I did not join him. I am not a fan of freezing cold water.

LUAU

We went to the Wailele Polynesian Luau.

All the people we sat with were Grandma's and Grandpa's. We loved it though. They were all so fun to talk to. They food they served was really yummy!

This guy came out into the crowd and gave Jared the stare down. I guess that meant he was "the chosen one." He had to walk up to the stage and was given some tall grass tied together. We are still not sure what that was all about! Ha ha!

BOAT RIDE

We took a day to go out on this boat, the pride of Maui. We went to Molokini crater, a partially sunken volcano. There we went snuba diving. It was pretty freaky breathing under water. But we saw some cool fish and coral. The boat then took us to "Turtle town" where we went snorkeling and saw three turtles! It was also the end of Whale season when we were there, so we got to see a few whales.

ZIP LINING

Zip lining was probably my favorite thing of the whole trip! It was pretty awesome riding over these trees. The views were amazing and the ride was super fun!

Today, I was feeding Ty some applesauce and avocado. Blake says "What is Ty eating?", I say "applesauce and avocado." He says "No wonder, he has a weird face."

Pumpkin patch

We went to Roloff Farms this fall to see their pumpkin patch. The family who owns this farm does the reality T.V show Little people Big world. We even got a picture with the dad and brother.

Ty loved being packed around. Everyone was surprised that he would keep sunglasses on! He didn't rip them off once!

Halloween 2011!

We had a fun Halloween!

We went to Blake's 2nd grade teachers house to trick-or-treat! She had the kids draw a map to her house at school. She told them she would have BIG candy bars for them and any brothers and sisters who came!

She was dressed up as a witch!

She had her front yard all decked out!

After that we came home and Brycen and Blake ran around the neighborhood trick-or-treating. Allie just wanted to stay home and hand out candy and "watch the kids" and tell them "Happy Halloween!"

Halloween is a big deal in our neighborhood. Everyone decorates their front porches, and buys tons of candy to hand out. We "boo" our neighbors with fun treats during the month of October. We bought some fright chips and salsa to "boo" two of our neighbors!
