Quirk Tag

1. If I see earwax in any of my kids ears I have to get it out or it will just bug me. Sometimes I will notice it in other people. Obviously I don't clean it out, but I can't stand to look at it.

2. I can't stand to listen to sports radio in the car, it automatically gives me a headache for some reason.

3. I like to eat fruit snacks, it's one of my favorite treats- Jared says my teeth are going to rot out from eating them, but I can't help it!

4. I have to give my kids kisses all the time (and my husband too!, he's just gone all day) it is just so fun to kiss a chubby baby cheek. Blake hates kisses, sometimes I have to steal them and run, or bribe him for a kiss. He always says, I told you, "I don't like kisses." I don't know what I will do when they grow up!

5. I like my kitchen countertops clear of all clutter, I don't even like appliances cluttering them. I put my toaster in the pantry as to not clutter my counter tops.

6. I like our bath towels folded a certain way. I worked in Dillard's home department one summer and learned a nice and neat way to fold towels and ever since then I have to have it that way.

Blake starts preschool

Blake was so excited to start school. He is going to a preschool in Vancouver called Noah's Ark preschool at a presbyterian church. On the first day all the parents stayed and helped the kids do some art projects.

Blake writes his name pretty good for a preschooler.

Go Cougars

Last weekend Jared took the boys to the BYU/Washington game in Seattle. They caught up with cosmo the cougar, Blake was so excited to come home and show me this picture with cosmo. They love to see Uncle Shawn play, Brycen especially is a football fanatic.




After the BYU game, they went to a Seattle Mariners game. Blake called me during the game and said "this game is taking too long". I didn't join in on the fun because there wasn't enough tickets for all of us to go to the BYU game, but mostly because Allie is such a little rascal, she can't sit still for five seconds!

1st Grade Here we come!!!

After a fun summer, school finally started. It seems like we were just sending Brycen off to kindergarten, but now he is a big first grader. Brycen was lucky enough to get the best first grade teacher, his name is Mr. Kauffman. Brycen catches the bus at 7:45. It has taken a little while to get use to the early schedule, last year he was in the afternoon kindergarten class so going to bed on time wasn't so crucial. I thought this kid would be dog tired after a long day at school but he doesn't get the nickname "energizer bunny" for noth'n, he goes strong the whole day! I wish he could share some of that energy. 

Utah Trip

We just got back from our trip to Idaho and Utah, we had lots of fun! Here are some of the things we did!

We stayed in our cabin in Island park and visited a Bear discovery place in West Yellowstone. 
          I had so many excellent babysitters! I tried talking them into coming home with me.

                                        Brycen and Blake got to hide food for the bears.

We got to see some wolves too.
We stopped at the gift shop and took a family picture on the big bear couch.
                                                     And tried on the cowboy hats too!
                       We got to see lots of family at the Rigby reunion and the Johnson reunion.

The Kids with Grandpa Rigby. He is such a cute Grandpa, every time we see him and give him a hug he gets all choked up, I'm glad my boys have had the chance to know him a little.

We also got to spend a few days with the Clarks, our good friends from Dental School. Our camera went dead by the time we actually saw them so I'm waiting for pics from Kelli and will post them later. 

Friends

This past weekend we got to see some old friends from dental school, Steve and Christina Hansen and their two girls Katie and Anna. Even though we were dirt poor in dental school, all the friends we made during that time sure made it worth it, and I miss seeing all of them. It was fun to have the Hansens over to catch up, it had been a year since we'd seen each other. Steve was accepted in to the Endo program at OHSU and so they came back for round two!
Poor Katie was chased all night by Brycen and Blake. Christina said she wouldn't know what to do with two boys! I think I'm still trying to figure that one out!
